Making Your System As FTP Server In Windows XP Platform


How To Make Our System a FTP Server In XP?

Here Is The Solution............

First Install FTP Feature Through XP CD 

STEP-1:

1)Start->ControlPanel->Add or Remove Programs->(Insert Windows XP CD)Add / Remove Windows Components

2)Enable Internet Information Service(IIS)->Click Details Just Below That Scrool Window In Right Side

3)Enable File Transfer Protocol(FTP) Service->Click OK
4)Click Next->Click Finish(After Installation)
STEP-2:
 1)Start->ControlPanel->Performance And Maintenance->Administrative Tools->Internet Information Service

 2)Under Your User Choose FTP Sites->Default FTP Sites(Right Click On That) Use Properties To Change Settings



3)Then Start The Service Using Right Click

 STEP-3:

Adding Exception In Windows FireWall

1)Open Firewall Settings

2)In The Exception Tab Enable File and Printer Sharing
3)Then Go To Advanced Tab and Than Choose Your Default Connection ->Settings (Enable FTP Service)

4)Use Your IP prefixed With fpt:// in ur browser to check the status of FTP Server
    
    Example:
              Let IP :14.194.169.137
               ftp://14.194.169.137/
